Isle of Man Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Manx Flag
The flag of the Isle of Man was adopted on 27 August 1971. It consists of a red background on which is drawn a logo, Ny tree Casyn, "three feet". Different interpretations are made ??by historians about this logo. It could be a distant representation of the sun, which is the symbol of power and life. Others favor a rapprochement with triskel, Celtic symbol, which could come from the period of British rule. Finally, some see it as the opposite: the desire to kick outside the territory the English, Irish and Scottish.
