The explanation for the symbols of the Bangladeshi Flag

The flag of Bangladesh was adopted in 1972. It consists of a green background with a red circle slightly to the hoist. This flag has the distinction of being one of the few in the world that takes its origins in a poem, in this case that of Abanindranath Tagore, Grace action. Throughout its pages, we find the following sentence: "O Sun, rise on the bleeding hearts. That leave on the brittle grass the sign of their feet tinged with blood".
