Venezuela Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Venezuelan Flag
Venezuela's flag was adopted on 12 March 2006. It is composed of three horizontal stripes yellow - blue - red. These colors are highly symbolic for the country, because they represent: the country's wealth, including ore (yellow), the blood shed by the independence for the country's freedom in 1811 (red), the ocean that separates the Spain, former colon, from Venezuela. Blue stripe is surmounted by a circular arc formed by eight stars. They symbolize the eight provinces that make up the country, they were only 7 until 2006. In the canton weapons are represented, with many symbols : an ear of weath represents the wealth of the country, symbols of victory (flags and weapons) relate to struggles won, while the horse galloping to the left shows the political orientation of the country as well as its commitment to development.
