Bangladesh Flag
The explanation for the symbols of the Bangladeshi Flag
The flag of Bangladesh was adopted in 1972. It consists of a green background with a red circle slightly to the hoist. This flag has the distinction of being one of the few in the world that takes its origins in a poem, in this case that of Abanindranath Tagore, Grace action. Throughout its pages, we find the following sentence: "O Sun, rise on the bleeding hearts. That leave on the brittle grass the sign of their feet tinged with blood". We find therefore the heraldic symbol of the blood of the fallen soldiers under fire from opponents of Pakistan, as well as agricultural land.
